i love this school very much. i studied here in 1987-88 i.e. 8th full and 9th till august. later i went to chennai. at that time Sister.Ivy was the principal. Raja sir was our maths sir. my classmates were sabha,kajol,caroline,dolly, jolly, bijoy, chandrasekaran(my opponent house in junglighat). I am Ashok Bakshi. I did my schooling in RBV, Port Blair. I am from 1st Science Batch of class XII of the school. the Grate teachers in our time were Smti.Tripti Nandi, Shri P.C. LODH, Shri SP Mondal, Shri HK Maiti,Shri KK Bagchi,Smti Shankari Choudhary, Smti Dutta (Mrs. Hazari Dutta), Smti Snigdha Sen, Smti Aruna Sengupta, Shri NC Dass, Shti NC Poddar, Shri Bhagan Dutta, We have very nice time in RBV. The tachers were like our family friends. At any time we can go to their house for clearing problm.They do not see us as students but as son/daughter.

Please join - Model School Port Blair Alumni- on Facebook ! I passed out in 1980. Our's was the 2nd batch of 10+2 system. Mr Habib sir used to be our Principal. We were lucky to have exceptionally good teachers ! Our school was situated near TTI and Boys higher sec school and next to Mountbatten theater which has disappeared now. Later, after our Final exams in 1980, the school was relocated to Kendriya Vidyalaya's old building in front of Annapurna Cafeteria on the raod leading to Aberdeen bazar. During my last visit to PB (after 21 Years) in May,2007, I visited the school but was not fortunate enough to meet the then Principal Mrs Veena Pareikh, who used to be our English teacher those days. Hope through this group, I will come across many more friends, present and ex-students of Model school who would take us back in time to olden golden memory lanes !!
